Working on this caricature

Messagepar Hanzz » Mar Août 13, 2013 6:10 am

This is how far I got so far... I really don't have a clue as to what to do on the hair. Just black clearly doesn't work.
I also got a few spoilers with the dripping of the pen. But this time I feel like I'm getting somewhere.
Any tips, pointers, or suggestions where I might have gone wrong ?
Thanks

To tell you what is wrong, I have to see something that goes wrong and so far, it seam to me a very nice work !! You are going step by step and it's the way to go. Don't darken to fast to keep control of the colour.

I decided to stop here.
I learned a lot, but the number of mistakes were building up :-f , and I know almost enough to start another one.

What if I wanted to draw complicated hairdo's ?
Is there a special technique for that ?

That how it works ! You learn better by trying stuff than wondering how to do it :)
Don't forget as well that bigger is the drawing, more space you have to draw details. It's the same for complicated style of hair

Thanks Allan. ;-)
I was happy with it, but the progress is too clear in the drawing, from the eyes to the bottom of the picture you see my style change. So it looks as if more than one person worked on the piece.

It is progression. It's common when you try a new medium ! I like it anyway !!
