Yes, you did answer to yourself :) : Hatching , Cross hatching or depending :moqueur:
There is tutorials for the portrait : Colored portrait and close up

Do not hesitate to ask if you don't understand something over there ! I know the some time, my English is not very clear :moqueur:

Smooth Bristol is a good start.
You see, the light of your drawing is coming from the white of you paper. More it's white and more your light will be pure.
For commission, I used white cardboard (the whited I can fined).

Good question !
I'm working with DECORENE to have a shop right here on this forum ! i will be able to answer when it will be done :)

ok lets see if this correct
the face and the body is cross hatching
and in the hair
just hatching

and explain this "You see, the light of your drawing is coming from the white of you paper. More it's white and more your light will be pure."

Yes, you can't add white with colored ballpoint as you would do with painting. So, you have to keep the white of your paper (like you would do with a pencil) to get white zone or get the light on an object.
The only difference is that you cannot erase anything with a biro so keep your light zone clean of ink !!

As the white of your paper is the white of you drawing, the better your paper is white, the better your drawing will be. I know that some paper get yellow with time so, try to avoid theme.
