Kowhai Flowers

[Helebelles]

This has been done first as a linear mono print and then with water used on it and when dry I use biro to bring up the details. The flower is native to New Zealand and is the flower of the Kowhai tree. It has lots of nectar and attracts many of our nectar eating native song birds.



My work is not as refined as some of the members here who's biro drawings look like photos. Also I can't get sets of biros in New Zealand that have yellows, oranges and browns in them so I have to find other mediums to use for these colours. For this reason I do mostly mixed media works with Biro.

WoOw ! The result is great !!
Don't worry, we should have a space in here to buy any colored ballpoint pen we need. It's not yet in place but I hope that it's for soon.

As for the way you use Biro, it's nice to have other style !
Ballpoint pen like every other medium can be used for every style and it's nice to see it in here

Your work is very nice and don't worry , we also have some problems to find yellows ball points pens !

You can draw with one or two coulors, it could be fine !!

Draw flowers is lovely and the flowers you have un New Zeland are beautiful !!
